Free baby nap planner

Less nap math. Choose your timings and see an example day.

Starting values are examples, not age-based advice. You choose the intervals; this tool can’t assess your baby.

Your example day

Starting example: 3 naps, 120 minutes awake, 60 minutes per nap.

TimeExample
07:00Wake up
09:00–10:00Nap 1
12:00–13:00Nap 2
15:00–16:00Nap 3
18:00Bedtime opportunity

How to use the baby nap planner

  1. Start with morning wake-up. Enter a time to use as the beginning of your example day.
  2. Choose 2, 3 or 4 naps. Enter the awake interval and nap length you want to explore, in minutes.
  3. See the times together. Select “Show my example day”. Change an input and generate again to compare another layout.

The planner uses the same awake interval and nap length throughout the example. It cannot set a different length for each nap or choose a suitable routine for your baby.

How this example is calculated

Starting at morning wake-up, add the awake interval to find each nap’s start, then add the nap length to find its end. Repeat for your chosen number of naps. Add one final awake interval for a bedtime opportunity. Every interval is the same here for simplicity; real days need not be.

If a nap ends early, re-plan from the actual wake-up. The tool does not predict sleep, set feeding times or estimate overnight sleep. “+1 day” means the time falls after midnight.

Questions about the nap planner

Is this a wake-window calculator by age?

No. You choose the awake interval. The planner calculates clock times from that number; it does not calculate what a baby of a particular age needs. Its starting values are an example, not a recommendation.

Can I make a two-, three- or four-nap schedule?

Yes. Choose the nap count in the form to see how it changes the example day. The options do not tell you when your baby should drop a nap.

Do I need the app or an account?

No. This planner is free in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer. The optional iPhone app is for logging actual sleep and keeping routine settings close; some app features require a subscription.

Will my example be saved?

No. Your inputs and generated schedule are not saved between visits. You can take a screenshot for your own reference, but the example is not a sleep record or a care instruction.

Your inputs stay in your browser

No name, birth date or sleep record is requested or saved. We count planner use without sending the values you enter. See website privacy.
